This woman in her late twenties from Cape Cod came to my office to discuss breast enhancement surgery. Her goals from breast augmentation included achieving a fuller breast size and shape in order to enhance her femininity. She wanted to avoid a scar on her breast and chose to have silicone gel filled implants placed under the muscle (dual plane) using an incision in the armpit (transaxillary). The 200cc mid range profile implants used are less than the fill volume which I estimated to be 250cc.

The surgery takes about an hour, and patients are ready to go home shortly after the surgery is finished. I do not use drains of tight wraps and patients often do not require narcotic pain medication. Patients generally resume normal activities within one or two days following surgery.
