This woman in her mid thirties from Boston came to my office to discuss breast augmentation after pregnancy. Her goals included restoring her breast volume loss after pregnancy and filling her upper breast. She chose 400cc silicone gel filled implants placed under the muscle (dual plane) using an incision underneath the breast (inframammary). The implants used are 25cc above her fill volume. An incision around the areola would have allowed the areola diameter to be reduced (circumareolar mastopexy); however, this patient did not want an incision on her areola.
