This woman in her late forties from Boston’s South Shore came to my office to discuss post-partum aesthetic breast rejuvenation. Her goals from breast augmentation included a modest volume increase to balance her figure and restoration of natural upper breast fullness. She chose 275cc saline filled implants placed under the muscle (dual plane) using an incision underneath the breast (inframammary). The implants used are 25cc below her fill volume.

The surgery takes about an hour, and patients are ready to go home shortly after the surgery is finished. I do not use drains of tight wraps and patients often do not require narcotic pain medication. Patients generally resume normal activities within one or two days following surgery.
