This patient in her early thirties from Rhode Island came to my office to discuss breast augmentation. Her goals from breast augmentation included achieving a very full breast shape while better balancing her figure and correcting her breast asymmetry. She chose round silicone gel filled implants that are approximately 150cc above her fill volume. We also decided to use a 25cc larger implant on the left side; a 475cc implant was used on the right and a 500cc implant on the left. The implants were placed above the muscle (subglandular) using an incision under the breast (inframammary).

The surgery takes about an hour and patients are ready to go home shortly after the surgery is finished. I do not use drains of tight wraps and patients often do not require narcotic pain medication. Patients generally resume normal activities within one or two days following surgery.
