This patient in her late twenties from Boston’s South Shore came to my office to discuss breast enhancement surgery. Her goals from breast augmentation included achieving a better balance to her figure and a fuller breast shape. She decided to use implants 25cc less than her fill volume. 250cc smooth, round, silicone implants were used and were placed below the muscle (dual plane) through a periareolar incision.

The surgery takes about an hour and patients are ready to go home shortly after the surgery is finished. I do not use drains of tight wraps and patients often do not require narcotic pain medication. Patients generally resume normal activities within one or two days following surgery.
