This woman in her early twenties from Boston came to my office to discuss breast augmentation. Her goals from included improving her figure balance by increasing her breast volume without upper breast roundness. I recommended a teardrop shaped implant if slightly more volume than her 325cc fill volume. She ultimately chose 360cc moderate height, moderate projection teardrop shaped implants placed under the muscle (dual plane) using an incision under the breast (inframammary).

The surgery takes about an hour and patients are ready to go home shortly after the surgery is finished. I do not use drains of tight wraps and patients often do not require narcotic pain medication. Patients generally resume normal activities within one or two days following surgery.
