This patient in her late thirties from Boston’ North Shore came to my office to discuss breast augmentation. Her goals from breast augmentation included achieving a full look to the breasts. She chose silicone gel filled implants that are 25cc above her fill volume. 350cc textured, round, silicone implants were used and were placed below the muscle (dual plane) using an incision under the breast (inframammary).

The surgery takes about an hour and patients are ready to go home shortly after the surgery is finished. I do not use drains of tight wraps and patients often do not require narcotic pain medication. Patients generally resume normal activities within one or two days following surgery.
