This woman in her early twenties from Boston’s North Shore came to my office to discuss breast augmentation and inverted nipple correction. Her goals from breast augmentation included achieving a fullness to the upper breast while enhancing her breast size. We discussed her breast implant options and she chose to have saline filled implants placed under the muscle (dual plane) using an incision beneath the breast (inframammary). 300cc moderate profile implants were each filled with 325cc of saline. She also had bilateral inverted nipple correction at the same time.

The surgery takes about an hour, and patients are ready to go home shortly after the surgery is finished. I do not use drains of tight wraps and patients often do not require narcotic pain medication. Patients generally resume normal activities within one or two days following surgery.
