This patient is a 22-year-old woman from the greater Boston area who came to my office to discuss breast augmentation. She defined her aesthetic goals as including a natural fullness without excessive roundness in the upper breast. Ultimately she choose an implant size to match her fill volume which I estimated for her. She also choose silicone gel filled implants to be placed under the muscle using an inframammary incision. Smooth walled round 325cc mid range profile silicone implants were used.

The surgery takes about an hour, and patients are ready to go home shortly after the surgery is finished. I do not use drains of tight wraps and patients often do not require narcotic pain medication. Patients generally resume normal activities within one or two days following surgery.
