This woman in her early 40s from western Massachusetts came to discuss breast augmentation. She is post-partum and wanted a more full and youthful appearance to her breasts. She chose saline filled implants placed under the muscle (dual plane) using an incision around the areola (peri-areolar). I used a moderate profile (Inamed Style 68MP) filled with 300cc of saline which is 25cc above what I estimated her fill volume to be. These post-operative photographs were taken four years after her surgery.

The surgery takes about an hour, and patients are ready to go home shortly after the surgery is finished. I do not use drains of tight wraps and patients often do not require narcotic pain medication. Patients generally resume normal activities within one or two days following surgery.
